DigiExplanations engage students in learning, explaining and communicating science with student created digital media.
Explanations are central to the discipline of science. In science, explanations are developed through conducting research. Explanations lead to a deeper understandings of various phenomena. An explanation explains why things work, what something is or how things happen.
A DigiExplanation asks students to create digital representations to explain science concepts asks students to use digital technologies such as mobile phones, iPads and computers. Examples of DigiExplanations include podcasts (audio explanation), video (audio and image) as well as animations (see slowmation) to explain science concepts.
